Day 25

Today we had a fairly leisurely start to the day.  Lisa, Rox, Paula and I left the house at 9am to hit the shops in Guildford (I know, we just can’t stay out of the shops!)  We had a list of particular shops we wanted to get to, so there was no dilly-dallying around and after 3 hours (my soul, was it that long?!) of intense retail therapy, we were home.  We quickly packed up our belongings… squeeeeeezed the cases shut and piled into the cars, headed to Richmond.

We took a short drive through the gorgeous park there, to see the deer and then we went to a pub on the river for lunch.  After lunch we said good-bye to Lis and Trev (I hate it, ‘cause we never know when we’re going to see each other again… the down-side of a trans-continental friendship!) and set off for our hotel in London.

We got to the hotel, freshened up and then hopped on our faithful No.24 bus to Leicester Square, and then a short walk (with some help from the iphone!) to the Piccadilly Theatre where we picked up our tickets for Ghost.  We popped into a nearby pub for Grant, Rox and my latest favourite drink – Rekorderlig Pear Cider…. Ooooh very yummy!!

We then went back to the theatre and saw Ghost the Musical…. It was absolutely amazing, loved it!

After the show we wandered back to our bus stop, stopping briefly to pick up a couple of large slices of pizza.  We couldn’t get over the crowds of people wandering around the west end so late on a Monday night.
